Dojo 2.0 is Antwerp’s immersive neo-Japanese tasting restaurant, where chef-led 12-course menus meet raw industrial design in the Meatpacking District.
The Experience
When you walk into Dojo 2.0, you enter through a raw concrete corridor that opens into a space where industrial Antwerp meets Japanese precision. Exposed concrete walls, live kitchen viewing projected onto screens, and three distinct seating styles — each designed to give you a different relationship with the food and the chefs who make it.
Three Ways to Sit
Kauntaseki — Counter seating directly in front of the kitchen. You watch every slice, every plate, every garnish happen in real time. This is the most immersive seat in the restaurant and our most requested.
Horigotatsu — Traditional recessed floor seating, Japanese style. Intimate, grounded, and perfect for small groups.
Teburuseki — Table seating for those who want the full tasting experience with a classic dining format.
The Menu
Our 12-course tasting menu changes with the seasons. Each course is a conversation between Japanese technique and the best ingredients we can source — from local Belgian producers to direct imports from Japan. The menu starts at €85 per person, with a deluxe option at €125 featuring premium ingredients. Beverage pairings are crafted to match.
The Space
Dojo 2.0 sits in Antwerp’s Meatpacking District (Slachthuiswijk) at Samberstraat 5 — an emerging neighbourhood known for creative spaces and independent restaurants. The interior was created in collaboration with artist Jef Meyer, blending brutalist architecture with Japanese elegance. We also have a dedicated event space with a Japanese fermentation lab, available for private dinners, tastings, and product launches.
Recognition
Dojo 2.0 holds a Gault & Millau score of 14/20 (2025), has been selected by Le Fooding, and carries a 4.8/5 rating on Google from our guests. We’ve been featured in Culinary Ambiance and Horeca Trends.
Best For
Dojo 2.0 is best for special occasions, date nights, milestone celebrations, and food experiences. If you’re looking for somewhere in Antwerp that feels like an event — not just dinner — this is it.
